Looking for impressions of Pioneer PL50Lii turntable.

Looking to add in a few more turntables, unfortunately, Exclusive P3 is financially out of scope. Could anyone offer guidance on the Pioneer PL50Lii turntable? Much appreciated.

The PL 50 ii looks like a nice deck. I assume they are all Japanese market and will require a step down transformer.

I'm wondering if any of the US market JVC's or Denon's, of the the same era, would be comparable? Already set up for 120V and 60 hz.

Why not just get the new Pioneer PLX-1000 turntable, it is actually a very decent TT

See if you can find an old Concept 2QD turntable, it is direct drive and has a carbon fiber tonearm. It was sold by Pacific Stereo in the late 70's

For what it’s worth, I’ve had no issues whatsoever using a step down transformer with my Denon DP80 or my Kenwood L07D. In fact there’s a benefit; the transformer isolates the TT motor from the house AC supply so EMI from the motor cannot contaminate power to other gear on the same line. By the way, the Japanese are also on 60hz AC, so there is no problem with frequency.

Id say my Technics SP10 mk3 is the most perfect of my TTs. The L07D is held back a bit by its phono cable which is not easily replaced.
