Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

I'm having a very bad day. I put on some music this morning and realized cello sounded raspy on the right. A few checks & I discovered the woofer in my right CS7 is 'blown'. The large voicecoil is extended and stuck outside the magnetic gap. I've been having trouble with my DAC and yesterday it output 3 spikes in quick succession which my 250wpc DC-coupled Adcom 5800 dutifully output as what sounded like 3 gunshots.

A bad day indeed. Consult Gary at CSS for repair and service options. Second, think about replacing the DAC. Keep me posted on this important matter.

The DAC came in late yesterday. It's setup & playing now...but the damage is done.
