Do You Regret Selling Your Turntable and Albums ?

I"m out of room for hobbies and we will likely be moving to a smaller home. I don't want to wait until the last minute to sell things. That didn't work out well last time we moved. Time to downsize. Again.

I enjoy streaming music and haven't played vinyl in over a year. Did you sell your TT and album collection and did you regret it ?

Nope. Switched over to CDs and SACDs decades ago and have never looked back. Now, I just spin discs and occasionally stream.

Can't operate vinyl anymore. What's the best way to sell without shipping?

Sota Sapphire and 6 carts.

I haven’t culled any of my collections — LPs, CDs, SACDs, a few DVD-As, even about 100 laserdiscs (!) — bc I haven’t moved in 33 yrs and can still climb up and down stairs so don’t plan to vacate my place yet. Everything is organized and stored on shelves so I can still find it all. And since I became a Roon user about 8 yrs ago I really don’t play my digital discs very much anymore. Yet I still keep them on the shelves I did cull the plastic cases of many hundreds of CDs so I could store music by artist and genre in boxes that take up far less space on shelves. Why do I maintain this museum of me? Bc I can and I enjoy it and someday someone will either rejoice or despair at finding it. I advise keeping your LPs. Unless they’re trashed and in that case get rid of them.

I’ve culled my collection quite a bit and haven’t purchased anything new for myself in a few years. My son received quite a few of my old albums. He asks for recommendations on albums to buy, and I’ve purchased many for him.

Years ago I got rid of 3 or 4 fruit crates of albums. Lots of favorites. 20 years later I ended up purchasing the same content in CD format. Though I would've had to store them for decades, I'd certainly like to have them now.
