amp I bought 3 days ago not powering on - electrical engineer advice wanted

I bought a used Musical Fidelity A380 in good condition. Played it every day, worked fine.

Today it did not turn on. There were no sign of failure yesterday. Could it be a fuse or power supply?

@devinplombier I did not have one bone in my body that wished to talk about AOC. audphile1 started it.

@willywonka thanks for casting doubt on my worldview. I was going to sleep well tonight, but now I have to worry again.

@parkergetdean

He’s just a big bully who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Just ignore him.

Have a relaxing concoction, ask Madame Parkergetdean for a nice massage. It’s sleepy time! Just visualize AOC... oh, never mind. Everything’s gonna be all right!!

@devinplombier wow, OK. Slipping away from the audio stuff a bit. Visualize AOC. I am going to close this page now. blush

@parkergetdean I'm sure the tech will do fine in the repair. I'm a retired technician (Component level). One good place to get opinions on Audio repairs is a Facebook group called "Repair, Restore or Scrap it Audio and Video". There are some excellent techs on that group and they give great advice. This is a very large and popular group with well over 250,000 members. Lots of Audio equipment techs on this group.

thanks @willywonka I will gladly look it up. But I am probably not skilled enough to take expert advice. It probably takes years to become good at it.
