Maybe cut a flexible led lamp then attach to a custom designed base or wall adapter.
Recommendation for a wall-mounted turntable light
I’m looking for a good light that I can use to illuminate my turntable. However, I live in California/earthquake country and don’t really want a light that’ll just sit on my audio rack in case if falls over and damages my turntable/tonearm/cartridge when things start to shake. So that kind of puts one of the UberLights out of the picture (although I love the Frame model and think it would look pretty awesome). I know that the Frame can be bolted to a surface, but I’m not about to drill holes in my Symposium Acoustics rack! I don't really want to clamp it to the rack either. So, I was thinking that there might be a light that could be wall mounted that might do the trick. I’ve looked around a bit but haven’t found anything that great, so I thought maybe someone here might have a suggestion.
Any ideas?

If you value Industrial Design, and have the money to part with, have a look at Robert Sonneman’s designs, some floor stands, some wall mounted https://www.1stdibs.com/creators/robert-sonneman/furniture/lighting/floor-lamps/ This Orbiter shown on a floor base
I had it in college with a wall mount adapter like this one I prefer my friends solution described above, but Sonneman’s designs are beautiful. Imagine this clamped in the back, the lamp sideways beside one TT, or between two, or something else this one is a bit bigger, and has a remote control, and a timer if you fall asleep |
@elliottbnewcombjr Thanks for the great suggestions! My one concern about clamping a light to my rack is the possible cosmetic damage to the rack itself. I did reach out to Reliable about the UberLight Frame and they told me that the clamping surfaces on that light have a layer of silicone rubber that should protect the rack from damage. I don't see that mentioned on their web site and I don't believe I've ever heard that in any of the reviews of the light that I've seen. But if I zoom in on the photos at Reliable's web site, I do see it. They should probably make more of that in their marketing materials to put the minds of anal audiophiles like me at ease |
