Recommendation for a wall-mounted turntable light

I prefer my friends solution described above, but Sonneman’s designs are beautiful.

My long look for a light led me to BBQ lights. tThey usualy clamp on so could be clamped to the rack/shelf. They are also usualy quite bright and flexable enough. The one i got has a switch on the lamp head which is easier to use then down on the cord. 

@elliottbnewcombjr Thanks for the great suggestions!  My one concern about clamping a light to my rack is the possible cosmetic damage to the rack itself.  I did reach out to Reliable about the UberLight Frame and they told me that the clamping surfaces on that light have a layer of silicone rubber that should protect the rack from damage.  I don't see that mentioned on their web site and I don't believe I've ever heard that in any of the reviews of the light that I've seen.  But if I zoom in on the photos at Reliable's web site, I do see it.  They should probably make more of that in their marketing materials to put the minds of anal audiophiles like me at ease

Caution about certain types of rubber/silicone/etc, especially on new wood furniture with recent finishes, that are dry to the touch but not thoroughly cured. Some finishes are dry enough for delivery but take over 30 days to cure.

I designed office space, had a few clients with new furniture and the rubber feet on their new phones made circular marks on all the desks. You could trim some eyeglass cleaning cloths, make a layer of them, it you need a lot of force, wrap the cloth around a piece of hardwood, so any indentation is into the hardwood shim rather than your unit’s surface. 

New top with new finish, wait 30 days!
