@elliottbnewcombjr Thanks---good point! I have a Bel Canto Pre5 that I was hoping to use with the NP1 but that's a good deal for the extra $400! Makes me think...
Van Alstine amps and Klipsch
Hi all--I'm working on a second system with a pair of Heresy IVs I purchased last year. I've tried class D but it was dry and dull. A friend recommended I look into Audio by Van Alstine. The new CA1 control (integrated amp) or NP1 amp looks interesting and affordable but I can't find many reviews on the Heresy's and Van Alstine. Does anyone have any experience with Van Alstine and Klipsch, particularly the Heresy's? Are they considered a good match? Thanks in advance.

@jjss49 Ok thanks---good to know. Do you have any suggestions that I could use with my Bel Canto Pre5? |
the makes of solid state amps that are known to have a sweeter rounder and less harsh sound would be pass / first watt - pass class a only ayre (older models may fit your budget) accuphase (probably beyond your budget) classe (older models might fit your budget) also a primare i30 or sugden integrated would be very nice sounding if you are not whetted to your bel canto pre |
