If you have the patience, wait for a pair of Sonus Faber Serafino G1 (first generation available from time to time at under $12k). Nothing will come close at that price point except for the G2 which will be north of 25k. These coul be one's "end all" speakers.
Otherwise, for larger spaces, the Olympica IIIs will do the job, either the first generation ones or the Novas. They are both good. I auditioned the IIIs years ago and ended up buying the IIs as I had a smaller but decent sized room. The IIIs are really ideal for large listening spaces.
This is coming from an owner of 8 pairs of SFs, now mostly Franco Serblin era bookshelves, plus an assortment of DIYs using the SFs to "voice" post design and measurements. When I have a larger space again, I will be hunting for the Serafino G2s (mind you not Sonettos as someone else recommended which are fine but..... not quite in the same class).
Good luck!!
