MSB Technology -- the "best" digital can get?

I don’t go to hifi shows or high end salons, and have never personally heard very high-end DACs (or CD players).

But the MSB Technology Sentinel DAC, at $375K USD, might be worth a listen.

There is a 2025 factory tour video of MSB on YouTube. They spend a lot of time on milling and using space-age machines for pick-and-place, etc. But there is absolutely no mention of the discrete DAC models MSB has been "perfecting" since the early 90s.

I have no idea  whom the Sentinel is intended for other than top CEOs, billionaires, et. al.

And does it really, sonically approach, say, a $10K vinyl or open-reel system?

I currently have the MSB Discrete DAC with the Premier Power Base.  Great DAC.  Replaced my MSB Analog DAC and power base, which was also really nice.  In fact, the Discrete was not a huge leap forward. I sometimes wonder/fantasize about  trying one of the very high end MSB DACs in my system, like the Reference, to see if a $100K DAC really makes a commensurate difference in SQ. But I am happy where I am!

It'll be decades before Topping comes up with anything competitive. Two years ago, someone said the signs of the HoloAudio May KTE was the sound of an Audio Note dac about 15 years prior.

@hollowman , "Let me know if you wanna see more ..."

The Magnavox CD player in the first two photos, third one down from the top, and second from the bottom, looks like my mint-condition CDB-560.  And sure, I wanna see more.
