Speaker Help Please: Floorstanders around $1Ok to fill very large space with no sub

Hi Gang, haven’t posted in here in years...
A great friend of mine is going through major remodel and looking for 2 large floor standing speakers to fill a great room 38’ long x 20’ wide with a celling that slopes in one direction from 15’-8’. so about 7200 cubic feet.
He is very serious about music. Used to book bands. He listens to a lot of New Orleans groove-based music and Americana. His wife loves female singers, like Brandi Carlisle.
My main advise to him is, since he/his wife don’t want a sub, they will need speakers with sufficient low end.
Haven’t thought too much about amp yet.

He will also use the system for 2 channel home theater watching.
Thanks for any suggestions

@bigasscab let them get a pair of MoFi Sourcepoint V10 Master Edition in either:

Black Trim or Walnut Trim

and thankfully they're Amp agnostic with a near flat impedance above the bass port

so get this stereo power amp with loads of headroom - https://boxem-audio.eu/en/stereo-amplifiers/64-414-arthur-4216e2.html#/2-faceplate_color-oxidized_grey/10-mains_voltage-90_132v

and this Preamp/Processor - Icon P80 in Black or Silver

zx10 - I like the way you think. Those JBL's would do an excellent job at filling a large room without a sub. If he can swing the cost, a pair of JBL Everest DD67000 would be excellent too!

In my home theater powered by marantz av10 I use separate amps ,however the tekton ulfberht 15.they are so good  I have 3 sets.one set  as front r and l in my home theater 16 plus channels. I also have a mix of ulfberht and moab in another home theater. Eric the designer can put what caps you want and what color you want. Call him he is a drummer and knows alot of prominent music people he has sold to. Best quality for 10k. Enjoy the music.

Sorry, didn't notice the $10K range.  I thought older mbls would be reasonably priced, but afraid I haven't been looking at the marketplace. I like the mention of the Ohm speakers, if you want something that doesn't require sitting in a sweet spot.

If the object is to fill a large room with no subs, as it was for me, Legacys do the trick. Not the last word in refinement, but they do extend the bass. Tektons are another plausible choice for full-range floorstanders at a relative bargain price.
