The Music Room is Slipping

I cannot recommend doing business with them any longer. They DEEPLY lowball you when you sell them gear and then forget all about the mass profits they made on you when you are looking to buy something from them, They offer to stand behind a purchase, yes... but the reality is that it is all about max profits on used gear and lack of any sort of support or consideration going forward. They are nothing more than a pawnshop for audio gear and I am done with them.

I've had several transactions with TMR over the years and it's always been a good experience. I've done consignments, trades, and purchases. I once purchased a used high dollar integrated amp that developed a buzzing sound after a couple of weeks. I contacted them and they offered to either refund, fix it, or exchange it. I chose to exchange it, and the transaction was completed quickly and without hassles. I sincerely hope they are not slipping these days because they have always been the "go to" for my audiophilia nervosa fix.

Have never had an issue with The Music Room - have bought from and sold to them on a few occasions. I live on the east cost and although I always felt I either paid a bit too much or that they gave me a few dollars less for my pieces, I was happy with the components and level of service I got in return. The transactions were pretty clean however, there are now some solid options available with other business closer to me. Places I can drive to and work out a deal on my gear or to upgrade in person. I value that over any phone or email situation. Look, TMR isn't the only game in town. If you don't like their offer or feel they have changed their business model, try elsewhere; you have options. Just my opinion.

I recently bought a streamer from TMR. Service was excellent- the sales agent really went above and beyond to ensure the item was shipped in time to make date that I needed.
