Considering a pair of Wilson Yvette speakers

Hi - I have owned many speakers, but never Wilson Audio. I listened to a used pair of Yvette at my local dealer and I really enjoyed them. Does anyone own a pair of these and are you happy with them.

The Yvette speakers are highly resolving and dynamic speakers very neutral in their presentation. What are the electronics you will be driving them with... and compared with what the dealer was demoing them with.

I had a pair of Yvettes for a about four years.  Amp matching will be key as @ghdprentice mentions.  They were really good with D'Agostino power, but room placement is on the finicky side.

If you listened to them and liked them, measurements are irrelevant except their sensitivity, i.e.: does your amplifier have enough power to drive them properly and if it is a good sonic match. How a speaker sounds is much more important than how it measures. You might want to take your amp to the dealer and have him hook it up to the Wilsons and see if you still like them.

@tntmcdade not sure where you are located but I see a dealer near me (well, within three hours LOL) has a pair in the $14K range, they also have a new one (seems to be a pair) at 16K at least from what I can tell from their website.  Good luck with your search.

I bought a pair of pre owned Yvettes from a Wilson Audio dealer 3 months ago.

Running them with Coda 07x preamp and Coda #8 v1 power amp. Music sounds incredible, best I've had in my room. I had a Wilson dealer spend a couple of hours fine tuning the speaker positioning in my room, although the initial approx placement was fine too.

They are the most resolving speakers I've had and sound balanced and natural. I'm saying this coming from Spendor D9 and Spendor Classic 1/2.
