Advance Paris A12 v. McIntosh MA352
I purchased the MA352 about 4 months ago.  It is a great unit.  Part of your answer might be what functions you do or don't need on either amp.  The Paris has a built in DAC which I prefer to be in a stand alone unit.  The MA352 does have a 5 band...
Considering a pair of Wilson Yvette speakers
I had a pair of Yvettes for a about four years.  Amp matching will be key as @ghdprentice mentions.  They were really good with D'Agostino power, but room placement is on the finicky side.
Super slow loading - Ads?
I am also seeing ads that load in the wrong place and block about 40% of the readable part of the forum. They should also look at their recaptcha implementation as sometimes that will not load correctly and you have to reload the entire page.
What going fully Class D has taught me.
This week I am expecting a Backert tube preamp to go with an ArgentPur amp.  The bypass on the Backert is nice because the unit does not need to be powered on for HT use which will extend tube life.  I was also looking at the new Audio Research LS...
Integrated amp for tube lover
I will second @kennyc and the Allnic.  60wpc in triode and 120wpc in pentode mode.
SACD Player/Transport Choices
@hifipassion  Since you are preferring the sound of your SACD's over I2S I am assuming that is through the Denafrips Terminator and which version do you have?  I picked up my Onix from Shenzhen and got it last week.  I can confirm the build is ni...
Are Their any Tube Preamp with Home Theater Bypass?
@salon64 The Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.4 might fit the bill.  At least it does not need to be turned on when in the Bypass mode so it will avoid the tubes.
SACD Player/Transport Choices
@hifipassion  Ordered from Shenzhen.  It has not shipped yet and I ordered prior to the tariff BS.  To me there were not many options since the PS Audio Perfectwave is no longer available.
SACD Player/Transport Choices
I ordered the Onix that @milpai referenced earlier this week primarily due to the I2S output and the fact that it is a top loader.  I have a large SACD collection and liked the idea of being able to use an external DAC rather than whatever chipset...
Tube Pre/ Class D Amp - Who has done it?
I have been looking at doing a similar combination with Orchard and a Rumba Extreme.
Non-fatiguing speakers in $10K range?
I listen to 95% rock and classic rock (other 5% is HT).  My speaker journey over the last 25 years in my primary system is as follows: B&W DM605, Martin Logan Montis, Golden Ear Triton Reference, Wilson Yvette, and Tekton Encore (tweeter upgr...
Do You Buy Speakers Without Hearing Them?
Four of the last six were bought without hearing them.  One was returned (Walsh Ohm Tall).  For the other three I read or watched every review and looked at user comments in the forums about the speakers/manufacturer.  Two of the three (Volti and ...
G Rated Comments About the Relevance of Pink Floyd’s Animals Album:
@carlsbad2  I just bought a bottle of wine called "Pessimist" Quote on the back "A Pessimist is never disappointed."  I would say that for one reason or another I have mostly been a pessimist in my life.  I am usually correct, but never happy fo...
Good Suggestions for Tube Amps under 6k
I ended up with an Allnic T2000 30th anniversary which is above your budget but really good.  I was considering the Willsenton R800i 300b 845 which appears to be a fairly good value and solid option for a 2nd system.  Might be an option to the Lin...
Harbeth 40.3's. Should I buy them?
When I spoke to Allnic, they also mentioned that there had been some shows in the past where they partnered with Coherent speakers.  That also helped in my decision.  Another plus is they don't have to be 3 feet from the wall.
