TMR has a 30 day return policy. You don’t need to offer them an explanation. Tell them any reason you’d like, they’ll send you a return label and deduct it from your refund.

I’d say that’s false. They did make it uncomfortable for me when I wanted to return an item (and still paid $200 for the 5% and the shipping). I got two phone calls from the owner (that’s who he said he was) asking why I didn’t like it, why I wanted to return it. I am not complaining, there was no fine print that they can’t pressure me but I am setting the record straight.

Curious. I bought a pair of speakers from them over the summer, found a killer dealer on better ones shortly after, asked for a return and bingo, no problem. I too of course had to pay shipping and restocking. I should have stated "In my experience with them..."  Interesting you had a different experience.

@thecarpathian I am sure over time things change. This happened a year and a half ago, and I would think their volume tripled since then and they don't have time to call every customer.

Overall, they have the goodies and they are attentive and professional, that's what matters.

My point was for my wanting to return something that I considered to be defective. In that case, I am not supposed to be charged a shipping nor a restocking fee, am I correct? My fear is that it's up to the dealer to decide if the product is defective in his/her mind, and therefore up to him/her to decide if they will charge me for a normal return or a defective product return. Mind you, it's because of this concern that I still haven't pulled the trigger on the purchase. I am a little worried about how critically are their employees evaluating the correct working of items (speakers are especially vulnerable in this regard). I'd especially be interested in hearing from @tmraudio.

I've bought a few things from them over the past few years.  Most recently a Parasound amp which I had wanted to move up to for some time.  About a month after receiving the amp it developed a problem (unit would not turn off).  I called TMR and was given options of refund, exchange for another unit, or repair at their cost with TMR paying the freight.  I chose the latter and it was returned in good working order.  I was very happy with the overall transaction.  Had I bought privately, there would certainly been no guarantee that the seller would either take the unit back or paid to repair it.  So while you may pay more at TMR, I have found them to stand behind their sales.
