Looking for a well matched Preamp. Pls advise!

Currently using my Marantz as my preamp. No longer needing for surround etc. 
my current equipment is :
Adcom GFA555ms
KEF LS50 50th anniversary. 
MHTD Orchid tube dac(used for streaming Roon).
Oppo BDP105. (Occasionally for CD transport)
SVS PB12-NSD Sub
Victrola Carbon with Ortofon blue

So I’m looking to replace the Marantz with a proper Preamp. Need to drive the sub as well as a Phono amp(in case I move on from the Victrola)

Looking for suggestions! TIA

What specific improvements are you looking for, what sound characteristics are most important to you, what’s your budget, and are you looking for new or used?

Mostly using for vinyl.Need to be able to connect CD, DAC and Sub.  Budget ~$2000. Open to new or slightly used.

if it was me I’d try the 💩 just to see what all the hype is about tubes.

as it was for me getting rid of the Marantz avr and getting a proper preamplifier was a good thing. Hopefully the same thing will happen for you.
