bigtwin, you are right about your walk in front of a car example, but it's quite different situation.
Going to Japan and buy from Japan
Wife is planning a family trip with kids to Japan in 2027. How and where to buy a new or used Accuphase gear and bring / ship back to US?
i probably need a way to communicate to arrange with a store there in Japan prior?
if you know a place in Japan that can convert voltage to US, please also share.

If you already know the brand, for this suggestion, let’s say it’s Accuphase, reach out to them directly, see if they would allow you to tour their facility and if they would be able to provide the unique experience of buying a piece of gear either direct from them or one of their local authorized dealers with the right voltage straight out of their factory. If it’s not about saving $$ but an experience and you share that, they might oblige. Some Car manufactures will let you order a car and pick it up off line, Audi being one. I have toward HiFi manufactures in the past. |
@inna - I know you're not the one saying it, but never breaks? Accuphase must have no warranties, then. I guess if the apparently impossible happens and something goes wrong (which 'they' would seem to think will happen as often as I win the Powerball), 'they' will pony up for repairs? |
