Is there any reason not to have tube phono stage ?

I have had tubed preamps for decades... I have tried solid state preamps and never been swayed. There is just missing musical essence from them. I have never had a noisy preamp or phonostage (they are basically the same thing just operating with different voltages.  

That said, there are certainly excellent ss phono stages, but if you get to that level the question will remain - why not tube phono stage. And signal tubes last for thousands of hours, especially vintage from 1950s. Phono stage is really critical element.

Lewm brought up a good point about gain.  There are far fewer tube phono stages with high gain.  So, for me it is situational.

Well there is no one size fits all is there?  The simple answer to the OP is no there is no reason not to have a tube phono stage.  Conversely there is no reason not to also have a solid state phono stage.  I recommend at least one of each for the well heeled record collector.

@slaw - I just put my Herron 360 Ref up for sale on A'gon over the weekend; really fine preamp and I spent 5 years enjoying it, but it was time for something different and got an Aric Audio Super 6SN7 with the upgrades. Big step up. And I hate that tiny remote with the Herron! But I am keeping my Herron phono preamp...
