Is there any reason not to have tube phono stage ?

Yes, it might be a little noisier than ss, and better NOS tubes are not exactly inexpensive, but that seems minor.

What do you think ?

correction, I misread, they need a space after the last zero, before the word ohm, we want 100 ohms, that’s jumper 7 not 8

Project Tube Box 2. I hate to admit it, because I hate it’s bottom jumpers, but it sounded darn good, and I studied the settings, so he could use the same jumper 1 on for capacitance, and only turn jumper 7 ON for his LOMC, jumper 7 OFF for MM.

Really depends on what budget your talking about, a cheap tube phono stage is not a good idea. There are fantastic tube and SS phono stages out there. Implementation is key. Tube ones can be just as quiet as SS if done right.

I'll second the Hagerman Tube Cornet 2.  I use mine with a Shure V15VxMR, very very quiet

I’m using the Audia Flight phono stage. I love it! Bought it as a demo unit. I’m a fan of great deals. Used the EAR 834p and K&K Audio Trio for years. The AF is a big upgrade from those tubed pieces.

Full disclosure, the Herron 360 Ref is my line stage. I really think the Herron is more sonically neutral than the Audia Flight, which is slightly warm....has a lot of functionality.
