+1 @avanti1960
Sounded so good at AXPONA 2025 I stayed for extended listening. I’m a little disappointed that the fabulous sounding Boulder electronics were outside my budget.

Wondering if anyone has recently bought these speakers and how they have worked out. I’m considering high sensitivity speakers, considering ICON12, Volti, Joseph Crowe No.3154. My criteria is room filling real-life music. 90-100db sensitivity for 25-50W class A amps. Any other suggestions folks here have? |
@kennyc Like you I listened to that room twice at Axpona 2025. I was intent on buying speakers and considered these. The asking price was $23,500 and I felt this was overpriced compared to some of the competition. They sounded good and had good bass but I ended up buying new Legacy Focus SE for almost half the price. Never regretted that purchase. I had a good talk with one of the sales people, the guy carrying around the stupid hand axe. It shocked me he called the Boulder amps crap and said they were always running out of power. This actually was a surprise for me especially considering he borrowed the amps from someone else and they weren’t even his. I’ll be at Axpona again in April and I imagine their new distributers or dealers will be showing them. |
@starman1962 Well, where are your thoughts? It’s 7 months since you stated you would receive them and post your thoughts. Saddle up. |
Looks like a screwed up Phi... (Must be the effect of lutefisk, elk hoof w/salt, etc Norwagenian delicacies..)
7 months??........Into a deep deep thoughtless void, the star has fallen....it may never be found again..
