You may want to check with Emotiva to see whether the third pin on the XLR connector is floating (i.e., not tied to pin 1). I doubt that’s the case. You could get a bit cheaper option from Benchmark, but it sold out again now.  If you’re handy, you can open the XLR connector and simply disconnect pin 3. That would save you both money and wait time.

Use either rca or xlr cables. Adapters will degrade sound quality in most cases.
