EAR 834P phono preamplifier

I really like this forum, it brings so much joy to my finger tips, as I write my finger tips can't contain their smiles. 

@hollowman - Bringing Comedy to the Thread is admirable, but like a bad comedian, it's dying a slow death out there.

What does a very high end Japanese phono stage -- Phasemation ???? ---  have in common with the EAR design?

The Phasemation. Phons in Japan has sold…. Sadly I missed it…. Would potentially been a decent SS match for the Phasemation cartridge in the arsenal…. 

I owned an EAR 834P with volume for a decade. It was around $1200 retail when I purchased it. It went through many tubes  replaced the stock RCA jacks, tried many a cable/pc , and "isolation" devices. Enjoyed it but when I went from that to a K&K Audio Trio, there was no doubt I was upgrading, when I heard it in my system. At the time, the Trio was around $2200 retail.
