As @dekay stated,Before I run out to spend more money,I would find out what happened to the damaged speaker. It would stink to get new speakers just to fry another one. Hopefully you’ll get the issue resolved.

I have a vintage Marantz 2270, a tandem 200 cd player, a pair of B&W 603 s2 speakers, and a brand new McIntosh MA 252 hybrid. Don't know if the connections were incorrect, but i blew one speaker. Will get a quote for repair, but any suggestions for small floor standing replacements?

Does “ I blew one speaker “ mean the entire unit stopped working , or one of the drivers went out ? Does your Mac have a speaker protection circuit ? To directly answer your question and considering the Mac is 100 wpc and your Marantz available, I’d consider Klipsh Forte’s or Heresy’s. I have Klipsch KG’s paired with a Marantz 2226, and Klipsh Heresy’s paired with a Sansui 6060. For new speakers I’d consider Kef’s and Tektons. A price point would be helpful.
