@woots you should not hear any degradation in sound quality with longer speaker cables. But why not bring the center channel out into the room some more and leave the burmester amp in the middle between speakers but behind the center channel?
Speaker Cable Length
I purchased a new amplifier, and due to size, I'm looking to move it outside of my current speakers to the right. I currently have Generation 6 Transparent Reference speaker cables that are 8 feet long. To make the move I would have to go to 15 feet of Generation 6 Transparent Reference cables. Would be interested in feedback on whether I will have any noticeable signal loss or deterioration in sound.

Generally speaking, better to have longer interconnects and shorter speaker cables than vice versa. However in most cases, one may not hear any meaningful differences unless one runs a highly transparent system. For myself, the quality of the cable matters much more than the length, so when buying used I do not worry much about length. |
Thanks for the feedback everyone. @audphile1 I like your idea; however, with the amp size, then moving the center channel out more into the room, it really eats up a lot of real estate and then the center channel would almost be at the coffee table. Woots |
