DIGITAL STYLUS GAUGE

@elliottbnewcombjr that gauge lied to me by a whole gram. I had distortion due to mistracking and couldn’t figure out why. The gauge was showing 2gr but it waa tracking at slightly less than 1. I got the Riverstone gauge and identified the issue. 
I verified the accuracy of Riverstone later on when I got the VPI table that came with a gauge. 

@audphile1 you got screwed somehow, or it simply needed re-calibration,

I’ll double check mine, I used it for two cartridges earlier today, just listened with a friend for a few hours, Shure V15VxMR at 1.02 g and AT160ML at 1.22 g, both sounded terrific.

When I replace the batteries, I have checked it in the past with the weight they include to calibrate it, it shows 5.0g every time I check.

I’ve still got my Shure balance beam type, I can double check it.

I calibrated it. It showed 5gr. But when measuring tracking force it was inaccurate. 
I do not know why. May be it malfunctions. Who knows. Who cares. I really dig the riverstone. I’d love that Clearaudio but I can’t convince myself to spend $350 on a stylus gauge. 

The Riverstone is excellent.  Seems very accurate.     Great value
