Hegel Viking sound

I just purchased a Hegel Viking CD player. I am breaking it in and at about 100 hours. It is vocal forward and the trebel is not bright but to close for my comfort. Looking for ideas to tame it.

I used them under an Oppo 205 and the sound became significantly more rich and less dry. Inexpensive and worth a try. You probably have some laying around.

For the highest level of sound quality, we recommend using the balanced output XLR outputs.”
