MotoMan... that's the only measurement that actually counts. Without it there is no good or bad. All the amateur Bla Bla about reviews and other people's comments provides no real value to us.
Enjoy your speakers...
Stereophile - Sabrina 5
Hate to rag on Sterophile again, but one of two things are true. One, the Sabrina speakers they reviewed were wired incorrectly or Wilson is now shipping with inverted midranges.
All that work to reduce distortion to vanishing levels only to totally ahem, add custom flavor to the frequency response.
Honestly if I was reviewing this speaker I'd have stopped to reach out to them before publishing, just to be sure this speaker shipped as intended.

@hiendmmoe exactly. We make sushi at home once in a while and I grill a pretty decent steak. Does that elevate me to the levels of Masaharu Morimoto and Bobby Flay? And I can begin publicly trashing their creativity and technique, claiming I know more about the kitchen than they do? That would go well… |
I love the way the Sabrina X's sound in my system, as I said before. But I am not saying that they are the "best" speakers in their class or in their price range. I don't honestly know, because in Miami, there are surprisingly few places to actually go and listen to many of the speakers referred to, unless I go to AXPONA or something like that, and even then, you are listening in a room and with equipment that are not like your own room and equipment, so you must extrapolate, at your peril. However, the Sabrina X's sound great in my system and that is obviously the most important thing! |
