Sonus Faber Olympica Nova 2 vs Nova 3

I just moved into a new apartment in Jerusalem and am considering the Sonus Faber speakers as asside from sounding real good they really look beautiful.

I thought the Nova ii would work well for me - but I can get the Nova iii for just $2,500 more than the Nova ii.

Is the Nova iii a significant improvement sound-wise over the Nova ii ?

Also does the Nova iii  appear physically much larger the Nova ii ? I have a nice size living room - but the stereo system will be in my living room so I am concerned with the size of the speakers ?

Thx,

S

Hav8ng owned these speakers , the Pretty New Sonetto G2-8

has tons of their flagships trickle down technologies , and for sure better in several areas  for Everything is New , and $9k retail  is easilly in the $15k+ range

read a few reviews and go to their website to see exactly what I am saying

the only thing better is the solid wood panels on the older ones ,vs the Veneer

that being said they do veneers very well !!

Definitely Nova 3. Your room is not the small and the 3 brings complete coherence to a deeper bass level.  I owned Olympica 3 for many years. They are great speakers.

My best advice is to be patient. The Olympica Nova series was released late 2018 so an update should be upcoming. Was very close to purchasing a Nova 2 in 2021 but inadequate dynamics and mid-bass refinement were deal breakers. What Sonus Faber should also improve is the efficiency rating along with an overall refinement that mirrors the current Homage series.

I have the Nova 3 in a similar sized room placed approximately 2’ from the back wall. They offer a neutral yet very detailed musical experience. Their bass response and dynamics are superior to the 2’s and if your budget allows I would just go for it.
