@mggartner - IT data reliability is crucial for high tech streaming, high-end audio is concerned with “how it sounds”.  The digital data rides in an analogy stream that’s prone to picking up audible noise that we can hear.  Better components reduce this noise.  

Yes, there will be a diiference. Wi-fi does not transmit through walls so well - the transmission speed is slower than a wired connection. Will that make a difference to audio quality? IDK. However many ultra-sensitive people complain they can feel wi-fi signals, so a wired cvonnection makes sense.

Can you please explain this? What audible noise are you talking about?

I was wondering about that too. 

There is no digital (or analog) stream on an ethernet cable. It's just raw packet data. The receiving NIC in the streamer/DAC sorts that all out back into the digital audio it started as on transmission from the source, in bit for bit perfect form.

Bluejeans cables work great - as in they pass the signal from origin to destination without issues. The sound? Dull and lifeless. I keep a spare rca and xlr just to have on hand in case I need it. RCAs are actually better sounding than XLRs. Their digital coax cable is pure crap. I’ll be tying one of the garbage bags with it soon if I don’t forget. I expect Ethernet to be on par with the rest of their cables.
