Why the need for sending a passcode through cell phone.

....to log on? This isn't my bank account, or my secret chat room with my lady friends (shhh). Maybe others do, but my cell is not attached to my hip. Very annoying when you have to upstairs to get your phone after trying to log on. This stuff has gone way too far. IMO....let the pelting begin.

I am tired of proving I am a human.

Amen, brother. This site is close to useless.  Literally 8 or 10 "prove you are human" what just scanning a couple categories or topics.

I am not sure why folks are complaining. But here is something you can do.

IF you are using a very personal desktop or laptop or tablet, you can opt to store the cookies. That way the system stores your login information for a few days and will not ask you for a password and prove you are human, every time you go to this site. I have done this for the iPad in the audio room which no one else has access. It does ask for login information every week though, but I think there must be a way to extend that period using some browser setting.

i agree that too much security is an issue. But I think this site is reasonable compared to some tech sites. Again, if you use online banking and are not used to this type of security, then it’s just a matter of time before you might get hacked. Good luck!

"The horror... the horror," (Colonel Kurtz)  they want a passcode typed in

I figured someone someome would respond with the answer-

Just close that request window.

You can then simply log on.
