I only heard the LYNGDORF TDAI-3400 once at the last AXPONA - it sounded great I made a note of it. My tastes are Magico or YG accompanied with top electronics, unfortunately my budget says otherwise. The Lyngdorf sounded like a much more expensive amp maybe 15k+, I was very surprised at it’s low price. At its price point it might be considered a sonic bargain.
Have a bug for a new (to me) integrated
Hello all. I am seeking some opinions on a new to me integrated. Currently I have a Cary SLI80HS powering my beloved Volti Razz speakers. I want to keep the Cary, it really is a great tube amp. It's just that I've never powered my Razz with SS and I am very curious. Also I enjoy rotating gear in and out of my set up, always have.
I have narrowed my pre-owned contenders a bit, I am open to other suggestions too. Trying to stay in the $3 to $4k range. I listen mostly to metal, rock, and Jazz. Room is about 12'x12, not well treated other than a love seat and a couple other pieces of furniture.

Hello all, wanted to provide an update. I pulled the trigger last night on a Luxman 550AXII that TMR had, i felt that the price was right and I have wanted to get back into class A ever since i sold my Threshold 400A back in the day. (to pay for an engagement ring... no longer my spouse jeeze...) Anyway I am eager and a little nervous for it's arrival. We should start a support group thread haha.. Hello my name is Doug and it's been 1 day since I spent good money on a ______... To answer your question @tunefuldude I did get a chance to hear Lyngdorf a week or so ago and it was excellent! Luxman was supposed to arrive Saturday, then Sunday, and then today. (Between stated hours that I took work off for, only to have an attempt to deliver made 15 minutes after I left the house and two hours after the stated timeframe) After doing the dance with shipping company I pick it up at a drop off point tomorrow! Delayed gratification is not one of my strong points. I just keep telling myself as long as it arrives undamaged, it’s all good.. As soon as I get it hooked up and warmed I’ll certainly let everyone know. (And try not to be a bore) |
