@sc53 - Hi there, Sarah and Happy New Year! You're in Alexandria? I'm originally from Silver Spring; just wondering if you ever went to any gigs at Baltimore Civic Center around 1969? During a period of a few months, I saw Frank Zappa, the Rolling Stones, Blind Faith, and Jimi Hendrix. Also in '69, I went both nights to the Laurel Pop Festival, with Led Zeppelin headlining the first. |
I suspect that men's high freq hearing loss is because many a'philes are in electronic sound hearing mode which ignores the audio distortion noise (and harsh sound) as if they don't exist. Listen to your voice while whispering "hello". If your voice is bright (makes your eyes to blink) and sounds like out of phase, you may be in the electronic sound hearing mode. To normal ears 1) Equalize your ears (only once, pinch your nose and gently blow) and swallow saliva (2 times slowly). Keep whisper "hello" and listen to you voice until your ears feel like it's melting (cracking sounds) and your voice is soft, organic, less bright. This can take 20~60 seconds to be normal ears. Your ears probably go back to electronic sound mode when you hear any speaker sound. Alex/Wavetouch audio |
