Next upgrade to an entry-level system?

Currently my system consists of:

  • AT-LP120 turntable (with the shibata stylus)
  • A-S301 integrated amp
  • RP-500M II speakers
  • RSL 10e subwoofer

Also I have been gradually collecting better quality vinyl, such as the BPO original source series. What would be the best thing to upgrade next?

It's always good to include an approximate budget, short- or long-term goal, and what you like/dislike about your current setup.

If you're looking to change the sound, the transducers matter the most.  That usually means the speakers, but in a vinyl system the phono cartridge is often a cheaper and best bang-for-buck upgrade.

If you're looking to expand access to source material, an inexpensive Wiim or Node streamer and a streaming service subscription can open worlds of new music.  Many here swear by it.  Counterpoint: my musician friends say it's fine for the famous, but a disaster for the majority.

If you're thinking of embarking on a system-level upgrade, then every scrap of info you give will significantly improve the quality of advice.  Whether you are or not, an occasional visit to your closest retailers (or when out of town) will help sharpen your ears and clarify what are the strengths & weaknesses of your current system, as well as finding potential future acquisitions.

At almost every level of spending, the speakers are going to have the most noticeable effect on your sound. After that, you are on to matching components and selecting specific features to improve the music you like best. If you are going to upgrade your amplifier, I think you will need to spend three times what the unit you presently have costs (or find a used unit that when new cost as much) in order to have a significant difference in sound. A sensible upgrade path might be speakers-->amplifier-->subwoofer. The turntable and cartridge would be the least likely to have much effect by upgrading.

First time poster! Hi everyone.
So I decided to respond to this post because I just recently bought into the hype of high quality power cords. I was blown away what a NRG z3 cord did to my integrated and power amps. Also the isoacoustics pucks and Gaia and Gaia Neo, made a significant difference to my kefs that were literally just sitting on stands or shelves.

Maybe jump to Chesky LC-2 speakers and catch up the source and electronics later.
