Component faceplates

Predominantly components these days have faceplates that are either silver or black. There are a few exceptions, and some hybrids  where the faceplates have strong black and silver features.

Does faceplate cosmetics influence your purchase decision and where you can get a component that offers either black or silver, what’s your choice?

All black with the exception of my DAC LessLoss Echos End R that is made of Panzerholz Wood for the housing and my Unison Research Phono One that also has a wood face plate.

My AH X200 has a silver faceplate and I roll that in for winter use while listening to Jazz as the tubes get a bit warm for summer use.

I went silver when I got back into two channel. Rogue 4 pcs , Schiit 4 pcs, Richard Gray ,  Home built SS amp, Oppo 105, Musical Fidelity cd, LPS, Stack Lan. Black for Had Inspire ( no choice ), speakers , cables , Townsend podiums and current component console.

Everything in my system is black with the exception of the front plate on my Don Sachs pre.

Silver, but I'd probably gravitate towards Mauve or Dusty Rose if given the choice.
