Such sad news to hear of Alex’s passing. Own many of his cables and a pleasure to have spoken with him when I ordered my first cable. His wife is seeking someone to buy the business it appears so hopefully someone in the industry will as I found his cables to be wonderful and always recommend them to others. Maybe ModWright or Daedalus will carry on the brand. RIP Alex.

Alex Sventitsky, proprietor and engineering genius behind WyWires, has transcended to hear the music he helped us reproduce with heavenly qualities we will can only imagine. His wife is closing operations. I have, in these pages, often recommended WyWires Platinum not only because while not the best performer in any one category, the product’s over the performance was better as a whole than others, expressing balanced musicality … but also because he was a wonderful individual … warm, genuine, and generous to his customers, the latter a quality missing in business today. I understand they are working and returning repairs and canceling orders. You can inquire about this on their website.
