Thanks guys, great info though a bit out of my league technically. it is funny because after reading all the comments above i decided to see about getting a used set of the carbon specials. went on line and found a set for sale by an old friend which was serendipitous,. he is moving up to the new Black Label version and i have a friend that wants to buy my set of 812's.
Moving up in the REL line of subwoofers
I currently have a set of the REL 812 subs which i am very pleased with. However i have the audio virus of upgradeitis and am considering replacing them with the REL 212 double decker subs. Anyone here have experience with that upgrade?

Hi @ronkent, congratulations on the subs. I expect you are already aware but REL has a number of very useful videos on their site about how to dial in a sub and a stereo pair. Can be somewhat tedious but fun to work through. It still amazes me how much a dialed in stereo pair adds to the "richness/depth" of the SQ. It's so much more than just "bass". All the best... |
