Nice sand boxes Big Twin, I use the VTI from Stands and Mounts. Filled posts and rails with sand or fine gravel. Very easy to disassemble for anual clean and adjust. Also in my price range.
Recommendations for custom amp stands?
My new amps (Jadis JA-200 MkII) do not fit on my current stands and they are odd sized".
I have some ideas on how to adapt my current stand and a homemade solution (I am fairly handy) but wonder about any custom stand makers that wont break the bank.
I need 2 stands to fit 2 12"x27" chassis each or 4 stands to 1 12"x 27" chassis each.
Thoughts?

@bilyeauxbrew So do I problem is that they are not large enough and VTI wont make custom sized ones to match the rest of my VTI units (18 in total). |
@ghdprentice Thanks. Idle hands.............. 😆 |
I second the proposal to consider the Brand Delignit and Panzerholz or any other Brand offering a Resin Impregnated Densified Wood Board. The Sand Box is a very good start at a low cost, well worthwhile experiencing as a design. Free Particle Sand can also be used as a Oil Damped Sand used the amplitude control in certain industries. Maybe a Pandora Box design, a Box within a Box of which Free Sand Particles and Oil Damped Sand Particles are used in either of the Boxes. This is still a cheap to produce option. Corian Off Cuts can also be sourced to produce a Box Wall that is most visualised and a certain type of aesthetic is desired. Corian will also be a better Sub Plate material than a Typical wood/wood derivative material to sit the Amp on. P'holz or another is the ultimate Sub Plate.
