Audiophile Ai music?

Been hearing some incredible Ai generated music lately, is this the future for audiophiles?

@gdaddy1 Precisely!  I'm a musician.  If I create something rest assured it's derivative at some level of prior created material.

It all sucks.  No soul.  No heart.  1's and 0's are not capable of heart and soul.  Music is intimate.  AI is not.   Can it generate lyrics and catchy licks?? Yes.  Does it have heart and soul? No!   Its kinda like 2 guitarist playing the same tune....both good but one has that vibe that can't be taught or learned.  A lot of people can play hendrix or clapton or.....fill in the blank. But....its not the same cause the musician is where the feel and emotion come from.

AI maybe fun.  Thats it.

45 years ago, Elvis Costello released Radio Radio.  Go back and replace "Radio" with "A.I."  The more things change......................

Most people focus on their immediate needs, tastes etc..

But the problem created by A.I. is greater than our opinion about some A.I. created piece of music...

It is about music experience not from an A.I. potential bag of possibilities taken from us but it is about music as our own creation all along an history which reflect the history of our own consciousness...

If like the A.I. oligarchs you consider music only like a product we can manufacture & sell, then Beethoven is like an apple pie when we want to eat it ...

Then with A.I. we not only had a tool but we are the tools first and last...

Is music just a consumers product?

No.smiley
