Emotiva MR 1L

Any one own one of these recievers and can give their opinion? I’m thinking about upgrading my Marantz SR7001 and want a reciever that can accomodate front height speakers, 5.1.2 set-up . I’m looking at the Denon X2800 and the Emotiva MR 1L.I've done some research but wanted some user/owner opinions.

A couple generations ago I compared Yamaha to Denon and much preferred the sound of the Yammy, and they’re also the most reliable AVRs out there, which is not insignificant.  Maybe take a look at this A2A from their upper-tier Aventage line that would compete with the X2800 and is available here at a very good price.  Just another idea FWIW, and best of luck.

Thanks for the input soix , I bought my Marantz from them many years ago, Before the Marantz I had a Yamaha for about 12 years and enjoyed it. I’m open to different options, Looking for good sound for TV and movie’s only, Don’t need all the bells and whistles that I won’t use. I use the cable box and tv for reciever inputs only. My problem with these newer recievers are they're mostly made of plastic with cheap plastic knobs!!
