Bach is my favorite composer. Please recommend his best recordings. I'm making a Christmas list!

Double Concerto in D minor with Isaac Stern & Itzhak Perlman. Have it on an old LP and and a remastered CD. Maybe not the best audiophile recording, but for pure Bach, I have never heard anything that compares.

I forgot to say about the motets of Bach that all my newer version above so good they are , do not beat the rythmic elegance of Harnoncourt version :
