The $250 power cables and $600 power strip that dethroned my $10k Shunyata Everest

Hello fellow audiophiles. I've been using products from QSA Lanedri who I believe offer the best price to performance ratio on the market today for their power and signal cables. You may have heard of Quantum Science Audio fuses and might even have some installed in your system. QSA Lanedri have perfected this technology/treatment and are now offering it in their power and signal products. The line of products in particular is called Veridion Discovery which is their most affordable line. I currently own 2 Veridion Discovery power strips (daisy chained), 8 power cables, 3 ethernet cables, 1 DC cable. Initially I was sent a power and ethernet cable to try and was so impressed I ordered more including the power strips. I have been comparing their power cables to much more expensive cables from Audioquest and Furutech. I've also been comparing their power strip to my Shunyata Everest power conditioner and found I prefer the Discovery power strip. Infact I'm in the process of trading in my Shunyata Everest and corresponding Sigma X power cable for either a better integrated amplifier or speakers. Once you pair up Discovery power cables with the Discovery power strip things improve dramatically. Not only does audio improve but picture quality and home cinema improves also and will challenge anything at any price. I will say the Discovery line requires a few days of continuous use or "burn in" period before proper evaluation. I compared their Ethernet cables to the likes of Audioquest Diamond and Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 and again preferred the Discovery line. Through the Discovery products music sounds cleaner and clearer with a heightened sense of realism. This also applies to film and TV. Compared to the Shunyata Everest picture quality is now cleaner with more vibrant colours. Motion and panning shots are improved with less stutter. I will add that I have the power strips on Auva EQ CSA1 isolation footers. All of my equipment is sitting on Auva EQ footers which I found were better than the Isoacoustic Oreo footers I had previously. The Discovery products look very basic and don't scream high end but from my experience they can go toe to toe with the best at very affordable prices! They offer a 30 day money back guarantee for peace of mind. Definitely worth a look. Cheers.

@willgolf you neglected to mention the details in your original post and I pointed this out. So far it looks like I’ve not stated anything that wasn’t accurate.

It is true. I have no intention to try QSA products because they look like scam to me and I am not interested in wasting my time and money. I also appreciate the ability to simplify a system without any compromise - you’ve correctly noted that.

Lastly, with all due respect, this is an internet forum and I am not looking for your permission if I can post on this thread or not. If it doesn’t align with the QSA narrative, which clearly it doesn’t because he reported my posts and they were deleted, he’ll get over it.

I had posts deleted too. Looks like there’s a pattern here.

So, thin-skinned charlatans are perverting the intent of the moderation system in order to get posts they don’t like removed (and thereby promoting their product, albeit indirectly).

I think it’s a tough enough job to be a moderator without adding a bunch of scammers making bogus synchronized abuse reports to take advantage of the fact that moderators are super busy and can’t be everywhere at once.

Just my two cents of course

Yes you nailed it @devinplombier

It’s enough to report a post and it will get deleted. Moderators are too busy to validate the claim.

Or it could be about tone and intent of a post.  It can be a fine line between skepticism and belligerence. Being a mod can be a thankless job especially when navigating situations like that. For me, it can be as simple as whether the comment was about a person or about a product.  "I believe these cables to be snake oil" should be fine.  It is an opinion about a these products or even a shop.  "I believe the OP is fake account just trying to push products" is an attack on the person.  Now, you may in fact be correct but the mods have no way to easily confirm that and for the health of the forum, have to take stands against language such as that.

As for the actual cables, I have been looking at this thread the last few days and I agree that it does seem a bit odd. The pictures and descriptions on the seller's site don't seem quite right.  When most manufacturers are putting out an upgraded cable, the tend to make them visually different.  They go braided and usually with more insulation if not thicker wires.  There are functional reasons for this not to mention it gives the purchaser the feeling they are getting something more (even if it is an illusion).  So, yeah, it is tough to believe this plain looking cable with a treatment is going to justify that significant cost increase over the basic cables. I updated a while back with these (based on a post from a few years ago on this site). I did notice a small difference, especially with some consistency at higher volumes.  And these aren't even close to the levels that some folks pay for their cables. Now having someone such as WillGolf say that he has them and found them to be better than what he was using does cause me to take more notice.  Because of that I am considering trying one.

@ddonnight

I have always tried to be respectful in my comments, and I agree with your sentiment.  Hopefully, unless someone has a specific question about my experiences with QSA Lanedri, I will back off from making further comments after this one.

Many brands make big claims in this hobby.  Most talk the talk, but how many would go into a show like Axpona, demonstrate their product against another, and offer a money-back guarantee if you did not like it?  It goes without saying that you won't like every speaker, amp, or cable at a show.  But if I owned an audio company, I surely would not be demonstrating my product if I did not think it would show well.  And if you are Mark Sablon ( Sablon Audio), a trusted and very good Company, why would you lend your own cables with a QSA Lanedri treatment?   Lastly, there is a YouTube video of a Company that has measured and tested over 30 different brands, including the  QSA Lanedri Ultimatum Infinity Line, which I have. The Gamma and Ultimatum lines have been selling for over 3 years, so this is not a brand-new startup, and they have hundreds of happy customers.  The point I am trying to make is that QSA Lanedri is not a scam company.

If QSA Lanedri does not fall within your comfort zone in trying new products, that is completely fine. Not everyone likes to experiment, and no one is forcing you to.  Before I got my dream system, I was always experimenting with new products or tweaks.  Now I am happy where I am.

The Discovery series was launched so that people can try out a product only costing $250 with a money-back guarantee.  This cable may not be as good as what you have.  I am in no way, shape, or form guaranteeing that.  But what would happen if, after trying the Discovery series, you determined it was as good, or maybe better, than the $1k or $2k cable you love?

What is harder to understand is repeatedly declaring the brand a scam without even trying it.  The Industry has conditioned us to believe that meaningful performance can only come from exotic materials and high-priced tags.  The result is that our mindset is naturally resistant to believing that anything less costly or affordable can challenge the status quo.  In the end, Resistance is natural when a company like QSA Lanedri disrupts the established narrative.

Skepticism is healthy.  Dismissing without listening or trying is not.  At some point, the only meaningful evaluation is first-hand experience.

I have said my peace, and it's time for me to go and enjoy the music.  Thanks for listening.
