How long for an HDMI cable to break in.

I've been using an Audioquest Blueberry for a little while and just got the Vodka 48 8k/10k to compare. I'm not hearing initially much of a difference and certainly not $600 worth. Anybody else compare the two? Direction is correct. When I put the Vodka in I realized the Blueberry was in wrong!

I suspect there isn’t much difference sonically between a high end HDMI cable and bog standard.  Out of curiosity how was the previous cable incorrectly connected?

I simply put it in and did not pay attention to the direction of the Blueberry so it was the wrong way.

It bothers me that I put this Vodka in and it made no difference whatsoever. In fact it sounds a bit duller than the Blueberry. Again it may take time to bloom. But
I feel like wanting to take out the pricy cable and put the cheap one back in so I don't waste time listening to music where I'm not enjoying the sound as I did before. When I first used AES and then the HDMI Blueberry there was immediately a big jump in sound quality.

5,000 hours is the typical time for audio HDMI.

4,000 hours is when things begin to bloom.

You can hasten the process by using it for video and audio simultaneously.

Are you sure??? If you use it non stop 8 hours a day it will take 625 days - almost 2 years......
