The one that got away

An Audio Research PH-3 phono pre

I had some great equipment that "got away" in a divorce. Sansui AU 717/ TU 717, JBL L-166 Horizons, Philips AF-877 with a Shure V15 Type V. I don't miss my Ex, but I sure miss that system.

Sansui AU-X1. I put it in the repair shop. The shop shut down and the guy disappeared and so did my AU-X1.

London Decca Reference cartridge just back from the manufacturer with new stylus and service for $2500. They were $5000 new but I thought I could do better by waiting. It was just before Covid. A new one now is $8500.

@jl35 I had a Sansui AU-9900 that was starting to go bad in one channel and I couldn't find anyone locally to repair it, so I donated it to Goodwill. Somebody got himself a bargain. As I recall, it sounded great when working properly. That thing weighed a ton.
