Apologies to Norah Jones, I needed more bass!

I've read a lot of positive reviews about Norah Jone's, both in her individual talent and the quality of the recordings.  I've been "meh!" for years.

The last six months I upgraded my main speakers with dual 10" woofers per side and enormous amplifier power and wow, suddenly I really enjoy Norah Jones!! I just didn't have enough bass to do her recordings justice.

Now that you have slipped into being a Nora Jones fan, check out her work with her friends and artist from Austin, The Little Willies as well as the album with Billie Joe Armstrong titled for Everly which is their remake of the Everly Brothers Songs our Daddy Taught Us. Enjoy the music

Hey @tomic601  - I don't think it's overtly about bass, but rather that to do the recordings justice you really need speakers that can dig deep, so far this seems true across a number of albums.

I guess I can test the OP theory about HP and 4x 10” woofers by disconnecting the sub from my TAD and see if like Mick, I can’t get no satisfaction…

@viridian  - These specific recordings, honeslty no.  SHe sounded thin and whispy and moody but never could emotionally engage.

This is not an effect I have with every recording, but Norah Jones was particularly victimized.
