way way to much; but it gives peace or mind....just say Shunyata Omega and call me crazy.......no way Jose'......i stick at SigmaX or Theta....at twice the price, i can still eat if i stay away from Omega....cables....on a $100K system, probably about $30 and NO, i did not go with top or even close to high top, sort of high medium types of cables...

I actually bought some Asian inspired Nordost at some point...I used to refer to it as Nordost Long in an affectionate fashion. [Long is also a name associated with a dragon, a mythical creature, it seems.. ] @audphile1 wrote

Maybe $200 for all the cables and connectors, both line level and speaker. I build and test my own cables. When I need a certain length, I can have a cable ready in less than an hour as I always keep a stock of materials on hand. Line level cables are made with Belden 1505F coaxial video cable: 75 ohm, 17pf/ft, 12 ohms/1000 ft., with quality connectors from Neutrik/Rean or Amphenol. For balanced I use Mogami 2552 with Neutrik XLR connectors. I use a Weller soldering station and Kester "44" rosin core solder ensure good electrical contact between the cables and the connectors. Speaker cables are 12 gauge, duplex copper with heavy duty spade lugs. There's no need for anything else.
