The $250 power cables and $600 power strip that dethroned my $10k Shunyata Everest

Hello fellow audiophiles. I've been using products from QSA Lanedri who I believe offer the best price to performance ratio on the market today for their power and signal cables. You may have heard of Quantum Science Audio fuses and might even have some installed in your system. QSA Lanedri have perfected this technology/treatment and are now offering it in their power and signal products. The line of products in particular is called Veridion Discovery which is their most affordable line. I currently own 2 Veridion Discovery power strips (daisy chained), 8 power cables, 3 ethernet cables, 1 DC cable. Initially I was sent a power and ethernet cable to try and was so impressed I ordered more including the power strips. I have been comparing their power cables to much more expensive cables from Audioquest and Furutech. I've also been comparing their power strip to my Shunyata Everest power conditioner and found I prefer the Discovery power strip. Infact I'm in the process of trading in my Shunyata Everest and corresponding Sigma X power cable for either a better integrated amplifier or speakers. Once you pair up Discovery power cables with the Discovery power strip things improve dramatically. Not only does audio improve but picture quality and home cinema improves also and will challenge anything at any price. I will say the Discovery line requires a few days of continuous use or "burn in" period before proper evaluation. I compared their Ethernet cables to the likes of Audioquest Diamond and Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 and again preferred the Discovery line. Through the Discovery products music sounds cleaner and clearer with a heightened sense of realism. This also applies to film and TV. Compared to the Shunyata Everest picture quality is now cleaner with more vibrant colours. Motion and panning shots are improved with less stutter. I will add that I have the power strips on Auva EQ CSA1 isolation footers. All of my equipment is sitting on Auva EQ footers which I found were better than the Isoacoustic Oreo footers I had previously. The Discovery products look very basic and don't scream high end but from my experience they can go toe to toe with the best at very affordable prices! They offer a 30 day money back guarantee for peace of mind. Definitely worth a look. Cheers.

I’m gonna preface this with I’d never presume to tell anyone what they do and don’t hear.

But:

When presented with a first post OP that has every element of a product placement ad, even showcasing the high dollar gear it usurped, along with the company using the ubiquitous ’quantum’ and talk of ’phase smearing’  along with of course the secret proprietary method of enhancement, etc. etc., makes for one big head shaker. What really ices it for me though is this conversation over on WBF:

A member was telling Anas he had his new cable in and marveled at how great it sounds, but after whatever time period he decided to a/b his amazing cable against some cheapo one (totally paraphrasing) and to his surprise really couldn’t tell a difference between the two. Anyway, that’s the gist of it.

The response:

For anyone wondering why, this is actually one of the quirks of our technology. The effect doesn’t disappear the moment you remove the Veridion-treated cables or components—it lingers in the system for a few hours before things gradually drift back to normal. It fades on an exponential curve. This is the same reason we had to pause the A/B tests at AXPONA: we only had one set of speakers, so swapping between treated and untreated cables was limiting the A/B comparison.

Man, an explanation for everything! The cable works even when you remove it from your system! Take that, all you a/b blind testing time wasters!

Forgot to mention the guys response; "Oh, yeah. I forgot about that..."

Wow.

@thecarpathian i wonder what it is exactly that “lingers“ in the system? That appears to have entered PT Barnum territory

The cables’ effects linger in the system after they’ve been disconnected? That’s pretty good.

Honestly, gaslighting has become a major component of audio marketing.

For example, recently on another thread here, a guy who makes DACs was being suggested to that given the price point of his products, he might want to consider outfitting them in more upscale enclosures, and in fact his DACs look like Aliexpress cases adorned with text in faux hand-drawn fonts.

His answer? His DAC enclosures are engineered for maximum fidelity, thus they sound better than high-end custom aluminum enclosures. Not bad, eh?

I have purchased a number of Discovery Veridion cables.  The power cord brought the most obvious improvement to my 77” LG OLED where both improved clarity could be found in both audio and video.  The Ethernet cable was another surprise.  I have one in place between a Network Acoustics tempus switch and an Antipodes K50.  The bigger surprise came from using 4 of these in series with treated couplers to create a span from my wall outlet to the tempus.  The naturalness that emerged from this has made it so I can more fully enjoy even the worst recordings.

It’s just unfortunate that cable posts tend to draw in those who get off on being able to sneer at others.
