What’s the Sweet Spot price point wise in your audio journey?

I ask the question because there are so much gear at vastly different price points.  My sweet spot is the 15-30k range. That’s where my speakers, amp, and Dac for the most part sets. There are good things below the prices but there is synergy and  price/performance when purchasing audio. For some folks it’s the 5-15 range. It just depends on what you budget is you can fund great stuff all over Audio. Thoughts! No negativity. Just real answers.

I just wanted to know what other people thought about this particular subject. I have also heard 5 to 10k systems that do an excellent job for their owners. Just wanted to know what people thought.

@jijoh123 i agree with you. Based on what I have heard and what I have now. 50-75 is truly a great sweet spot for my listening tastes

Too many great post to +1, but found that research, experimenting with different types of components and speakers, and finding that elusive synergy is where the real value is compared to a dollar amount (as so many have mentioned). Very much in line with what @devinplombier briefly mentioned.

And in recognition of this time of the year, being grateful that we have the means, time, and accessibility to great SQ that only a very small portion of society will experience in their homes.

just make sure that when you are gone, all that great gear does not end up in a landfill or a forever forgotten attic.

Of course, it's perfectly possible to get good sound out of reasonably priced equipment. However, the sad truth is that it is always possible to do better if we are able and prepared to spend more. There is no limit other than the size of our bank balances. We can never reach the sweet spot. Fortunately, satisfaction comes from enjoying the music on whatever gear we have and not sweating over how much better it could be.
