Monitor/sub
I know this question is often asked so i apologize.
I have a medium sized living room, I am a professional musician and looking to replace my speakers ( Role Audio windjammers, powered by a Rega Brio) with a monitor speaker and a sub.
After 10 years I want to hear a different presentation, that simple.
I could stretch to 3k, happy to go used, curious about the Harbeth thing etc.

It’s not really that simple. What aspects specifically are you looking to improve upon and what sound characteristics are most important to you? We can’t magically know what kind of “different” you’re looking for unless you tell us. |
Monitor and sub can sound amazing but……. Need good time alignment with the sub or subs and correct crossover frequency for seamless integration. Not a lot of integrateds or preamps after this. Better if your monitors are very strong to at least 70hz or so. You mentioned Harbeth. I just sold a 30.1 I had crossed over to a JL sub. Sounded awesome. |
Check out Studio Electric's M4. It is a sealed acoustic suspension speaker that sounds great and really integrates well with a small REL 10" I am using it with https://studio-electric.com/products/m4-studio-monitors?Finish=White I really love these , they are in my second system and since getting them I listen to them 80% of the time.
