Is the Leben CS600x unbeatable?

I’ve heard one driving O/96’s and it sounded really good. But what integrated with the same overall sound bests it?

I’d like to hear your experiences.

I’ve owned Primaluna in my second system twice. Great value for the money, but Leben plays in a different playground, IMHO. It will mate beautifully with your O/96. I almost went with a CS300X a few years ago, but only backed out because it doesn’t come with a remote control.

In the last few years, I’ve been going back and forth between tubes and SS amps. Whenever I moved to tubes, I missed the control and extension provided by SS. So I would go back to SS but then I would almost immediately start missing that inner glow and holographic qualities of good tube amps. All this was cured when I settled on an Accuphase. If you want the best of both worlds, I don’t think there’s a better amp than Accuphase. @lalitk ’s recommendation is especially insightful and one I wholeheartedly support :)

I totally agree about the Synthesis A100.  With a lot of systems, the smaller 40 watt A40 might do as well.  For the money, I cannot think of better integrated amps, and on top of that, a very good DAC is “thrown” into the bargain.

Yet another vote for the Synthesis A100. I have one and it is the best amp I have owned. I like it so much that I bought its little brother, the A40, to compare. It will arrive on Monday.

This amp is something special, besting amps that cost more than twice the price in my system. And as Larryi said, the onboard DAC is very, very good.

The Leben is very good. However the Accuphase and Sugden Class A were amazing too. I loved the Accuphase e-800 with all Devore’s including the baby’s. I also had some wiring issues and a channel outage on the Leben, whereas the Accuphase was bullet proof.
