Opinion about this cantilever

I bought a Dynavector cart a few years ago and could never understand why my Fozgometer would never read left and right channels not matching no matter the adjustments.

I finally took the cart off and found what you found 

The cantilever was installed off center

Sent it to Dynavector USA rep and he agreed and sent me a replacement

Yours is definitely off center and I would ask for a refund or replacement

It will never track to spec or measure correctly

Seller says a weird perspective, or actually off to the side a speck?

It'll probably cant right when you drop it into the groove of a spinning record.

So, it appears crooked to you also?

Seller says this is new, never used, so why crooked? 

Either mounted crooked into the suspension, or the suspension became deformed a bit, how?

It's beryllium, not something you want to try and straighten.

Using the groove to get it to play straight would require more force on one side, that wouldn't be good.

Improper anti skate can cause that.

But I spoke with VDH years ago after a rebuild they did for me. The cart came back with a slight miss alignment similar to yours pictured, AJ said don’t worry about it, it will straighten in the grove, nothing to worry about for tracking etc.  It eventually straightened on its own.
