@mofimadness No doubt you know this, but shortly after The Mirror’s release Spooky Tooth disbanded with Gary Wright going solo and Mick Jones forming Foreigner. The Mirror’s title track…Whoa!

Yes, a great thread. I certainly owe a debt to the OP and of course those who soldier on…

Great listening night last evening w visiting jazz musician friends… They chose the music …

The Oscar Peterson Trio  - Night Train…I believe meets the dayglow “ audiophile “ SQ grade, however had I mixed it , I would juice up Ray Brown… ha

Belafonte - Sings the Blues APP reissue - fantastic SQ and certainly NOT the Carnegie concert ….just leave that there…

Because we got on to a Ray brown kick, Ray brown and L Almedia - Moonlight Serenade - Jeton JET 33 004….. a lovely sonic and historical treasure…IMO

Krall - Live in Paris just 2 cuts - Maybe You’ll Be There and her cover of Joni A Case of You which is IMO heart wrenching interpretation…

Finished with a great concert attendance memory for our guests..’

Return to Forever - Romantic Warrior ( OP minty great bin dive find…. )

Linda Ronstadt - Get Closer, Asylum Records LP

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black LP 1 Side 1, Abbey Road Studios Half Speed Mastering 2LP

Splinter / The Place I Love
1974 Dark Horse

This came to mind when I noticed this duo contributed to The Mirror’s “Kyle”. Produced by George Harrison (who played various instruments on multiple tracks) who loved these guys, with other contributions by Alvin Lee, Gary Wright and others that also show up on Ringo Starr’s albums. Good stuff.

I bought the record because of the cover art. Not sure if it’s Bill Elliott or Bobby Purvis with their hands (mostly fingers) shoved into the pockets of skin tight pants with a look of, hey, it hurts trying to look cool! While his bandmate has the cool factor easily dialed in. Love that!

Ringo Starr/ Goodnight Vienna
1974 Apple

Did somebody say Ringo?  :-)))

Or klaatu barada nikto?
